Emotionally deep stories grab readers’ attention and encourage them to care about the characters and their world. It’s one way to improve your writing and craft stories that readers (and agents and editors) connect to. Join award-winning, MFA-level instructors Karen and Laura for a deep-dive into getting your characters’ emotions on the page.
Participants will submit ten, double-spaced pages and receive feedback from one of the instructors.

Poetry Techniques for the Verse Novelist
Sign up for my private course! I have designed this class for both those individuals who aren’t confident in their poetry writing skills and for people who might have strong poetry skills but who haven’t yet worked on an extended narrative in verse. The class will cover:
· Word & Line
· Form & Stanza
· Internal/External Plot & Dialogue
· Building a Scene with a Suite of Poems
· Building a Manuscript
Class dates will likely fall in April and May 2024. All six classes will be 90 minutes with recordings available to participants afterwards if requested.
I am offering all six 90-minute sessions for only $500. Your course fee includes an optional 30-minute private consultation to all participating students.
If it seems like Poetry Techniques is a good fit for your 2024 literary goals, you can get more information or apply to register by emailing me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
